1) Casa Gorordo Museum- The Casa Gorordo Museum was originally the home of the first Filipino Bishop of Cebu. It is now restored and serves as a re-creation of a typical Filipino home of the late 19th century, furnished with religious relics, paintings, antique furniture and household items. The museum also showcases some contemporary art exhibits.

2) The Santo Niño Museum, at the left wing of the Basilica, houses the Santo Niño vestments in various sizes. Valuable jewelry from rings to necklaces are placed in one display cabinet, gifts of devotees offered to the Santo Niño for his use during his feast on the third Sunday of January.Most of the Santo Niño's vestments are of 17th-18th century style, design and quality including those of the priests' and the collection of calices, patenas, ciborium, and venajeras. These are church pieces used during liturgical services.

3)University of San Carlos Museum - Houses a wealth of information about the customs, traditions, beliefs, and mores of the Filipinos during the pre-Spanish and Spanish colonial era. The different collections are so arranged that a viewer is informed not only about the diversity of the history and ethnology of Filipinos as a people but also about the natural beauty and bounty of Philippine flora and fauna as well. The USC Museum started with a few collections of ethnographic and archaeological materials owned by Dr. Marcelino Maceda and Fr. Rodolf Rahman, SVD.

4) Southwestern University Museum, Exhibits of excavated gold, trade beads, coins, iron-age potteries, rare trade wares of porcelain from China, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Thailand, including Ming, Celadon, and other China trade jars, as was Ban Chieng, Haripunchai pottery, and gold teeth peggings were excavated in the areas of Cebu, and the Visayas and Mindanao. The museum also displays heirloom jewelry, santoses, and church carvings and other church accessories.

5) Cathedral Museum - It is the ecclesiastical museum of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cebu. The focus of the museum is regional Church architecture and artifacts. The collection is housed in a building which is in itself a museum piece; it goes back to the 19th century. The building was one of the few extant structures in downtown Cebu City that was totally spared from the ravages of World War II. It also survived uninformed renovators and the natural elements.

6) Carcel de Cebu - Museu Sugbo -La Carcel de Cebu has been Cebu’s top prison since it was opened in 1871. Renamed Museo Sugbo, it has been wonderfully transformed from a detention center to first class museum. This prison continued to serve its purpose well into the 21st century until the provincial government built a bigger and more modern prison complex. This facility was then occupied by the Department of Education for a short period until the governor decided to convert it into a repository of Cebuano heritage & history, the Museu Sugbo (Cebu Museum).

7)CAP Osmena Museum - A private museum that contains paintings, Sergio Osmeña's bust sculpture, books, Cadillac cars, suits, chandeliers, shoes, hats, eyeglasses, brief case, luggage, amplifier, historical photos, magazine, posters, old newspapers, stamps and McArthur Room Elevator. Sergio Osmena is the second president of the Commonwealth Republic and the country's first president as an Independent Nation. Known for his work as a prominent figure for independence and assisted the battle, using passive means by being an editor of El Nuevo Dia, a famous newspaper in Cebu.

8)Jumalon Museum - Jumalon Museum is an all-natural asylum of butterflies. The museum was built in 1974 as an effect of Julian Jumalon's passion with the small creatures. Once inside you'll be surrounded by his remarkable collections of mosaics made up of butterfly wings. Inside his garden you'll see a haven of swarming butterflies, plus a 'lepido mosaics' are displayed in the salon. The butterfly sanctuary has a total of 53 different kinds of butterfly species soaring freely including the beautiful Daedalus and has 100 kinds of butterfly food plants. It also houses complete life histories of butterfly species and the oldest collection of butterfly dating back from 1930's.

9) Rizal Memorial Library & Museum - The Cebu City Museum at Fuente Osmeña, which was opened to the public on March 16, 1992, houses some 100 paintings, 50 sculptures, antique chinaware, furniture, and woodcarvings. There are also a few archaeological finds. A modern sculpture by Eliseo Pepito meets you at the door beside a mega-size 15th century Chinese vat donated by Fred Labra. As you move around the museum, you run into landscapes, portraits of well-known Cebuano figures and personalities, floral renditions, and murals.

10) USP Rizaliana Museum - The University of Southern Philippines Museum showcases original personal belongings of Philippine National hero Dr. Jose Rizal. 1890. The museum also has the original KKK Flag donated by Doña Marcella Agoncillo. Other priceless collections are also on display like the original letters of Josephine Bracken-Rizal, a report card of Doña Trinidad Rizal, 1899 and 1900 copies of the classic books Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo with its original receipt from the Chofre Printing Company, a complete set of 1906 Jose Rizal Memorabilia postcards, a 1906 handkerchief with prints of the song “Canto Patriotico de Maria Clara”, and photographed manuscripts of Noli and El Fili.

11) Cebu City Museum - The highlight of the Cebu City Museum is the detailed history of Cebu in 21 canvasses. The museum commissioned the best Cebuano painters to capture the city's history with authentic annotations following the approval of Prof. Resil Mojares. The paintings depict authentic Cebuano customs, costumes, and the lifestyle of Cebu from the 1500s to the Japanese Occupation in 1940s. Mario Vidal's "The Battle of Mactan, 1521," Jesse Rona's "Parian District, 1850," and "The Japanese Occupation, 1942," are some of the notable works on exhibit.

12) Sala Piano Museum - It is a private museum with extraordinary collection of around 700 miniature pianos made of wood, porcelain, metal glass and crystal also various objects with piano designs. The collection is unique and the miniature pianos come in varied sizes and shapes. The museum also serves as a venue for classical concerts and houses a music foundation.

13) QUIJANO MUSEUM - A general museum of local artifacts and antiquities. It showcases old wooden implements like the duwang, old lamps, and cavans. It also holds authentic old ethnographic materials like gongs and jewelry. The museum also offers a collection of priceless memorabilia of World War II like American and Japanese troop canteens, helmets and medicine boxes, even ammunitions and a bomb. It also offers memorabilia of former Philippine President and Cebuano Sergio Osmeña Sr., like the original photos of the grand old man himself and his son Serging.
